Engineer, Researcher, Drone Pilot

Telecommunications & Connectivity Engineer from Italy, based in Luleå, Sweden. I work on wireless connectivity and beyond communication services for Robotics, Drones and IoT applications — and I also fly drones for fun and as a side job ;).

Short profile

After my MSc in Communication Engineering, I earned my PhD at the University of Parma working on UAV-to-X connectivity and localization solutions. I then continued as Post-Doctoral researcher at Luleå University of Technology, in the Robotics and AI group, where I was enabling complex robotics applications trough various type of wireless networks (Private 5G, Wi-Fi and low data rates protocols). Now I work on 5G/6G sensing and positioning standardization at Ericsson Research. Alongside research, I have been flying drones for almost a decade, both recreationally as well as for work and research purposes. I also founded Arctic Drones, an independent drone studio where I provide my drone piloting skills for videography purposes.
